SKIN ESSENTIALS
When applying makeup remember that you should let your skin show through. You don't want to cake on your foundation or concealer.. But in order for skin to be in it's best possible shape, you've got to treat it well. Find the right cleanser, wash your face in the morning and before bed and use moisturizers regularly to make your skin radiant. And when skin glows, so will the rest of you. Below, find
your skin type and take note of the easy-care steps.

OILY SKIN
Oily skin has a tendency to break out more even into your forties. Cleansing your skin goes a long way in keeping your face clear. At about age thirty-five you may notice that oil output
will slow down and your skin will be more normal. The great news is: that extra oily keeps your skin looking soft and youthful longer than any other skin types.
Using the Right Cleanser For day, use a foaming gel cleanser. Using this type of cleanser and the lather will help to break down sebum [skin's natural oil], and since foamers generally don't leave extra moisturizers behind the way creamy cleansers do, these would be your best for keeping skin nice and clear.
The Right Moisturizer A recommendation would be to use an oil-free lotion. There are many women who assume that if their skin is oily to skip using moisturizers. This is NOT true! What will happen is that your skin will feel dehydrated and will overcompensate by producing more oil. You must trick it into thinking it has enough moisturizer by using an oil-free formula. This will also function like a primer to even skin texture so foundation can be applied smoothly. A recommendation for night time is to apply an oil-free lotion with alpha hydroxy acids to help exfoliate the skin and keep pores clear. Using this on a regular basis you'll notice a much smoother,  and softer skin with fewer breakouts.
ACNE AID  and  NO-NO'S
Follow the skin advice for oily skin, using a foaming gel cleanser and oil-free moisturizer. If you get a few pimples now and then, you probably have normal skin; dab benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid pimple treatment on spots at night to speed healing. If acne is  persistent, showing most days of the month, or you have "undergrounds," also known as cystic acne then it's time to seek a professional dermatologist. They will have a wealth of advice to help clear your skin.
No matter how tempted you may be DO NOT squeeze pimples, blackheads, or whiteheads!
Squeezing will only result in inflammation and can cause permanent skin scarring. Seek the assistance of a dermatologist or an aesthetician for pimples, blackheads and whiteheads.
QUICK TIPS FOR SENSATIVE SKIN
No matter the reason may be why you have sensitive skin, these steps should help you manage it:

Avoid fragranced skin care makeup or products.

Wash your skin with cool water. Cold or hot water can irritate delicate complexions.
Say no to scrubs. They can be too harsh.
Always spot test. Using skin by your jaw or inner elbow, test a product for a day or two to see if it will bother your complexion.
